Research & Usage Charter

1. Not a medical device. NeuXelec is a research software tool. It is not a certified medical device and must not be used as the sole basis for any clinical, diagnostic, or treatment decision.

2. Citation requirement. Any academic publication, conference presentation, poster, or scientific report that uses NeuXelec or results obtained with it must include an explicit acknowledgment of the software. A suggested citation format is provided with the software.

3. Open-source license (GPL v3). NeuXelec is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. You are free to use, study, modify and redistribute the software, provided that any distributed derivative work is also released under GPL v3 with its complete source code made available.

4. Attribution. The original authorship and copyright notices must be preserved in any copy or derivative work. You may not misrepresent the origin of the software.

5. No warranty. NeuXelec is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The author shall not be held liable for any damages, loss of data, or decisions arising from its use.
