Oblique reslicing

Standard axial/coronal/sagittal slices create partial-volume artifacts when electrodes run obliquely. NeuXelec computes a custom plane perpendicular to each electrode's axis, giving a clean cross-sectional view of every contact.

Multi-modal blending

Toggle CT, MRI, PET, and SISCOM overlays independently. Each modality has its own opacity slider (0–100%) for precise blending. PET and SISCOM each have an adjustable color scale.

SISCOM overlay

The SISCOM z-score map computed in step 01 can be overlaid directly on the oblique slices. Adjust the z-score threshold, opacity, and color scale to focus on regions of peak ictal activity.

Contact labels

Toggle contact name labels directly on the oblique slice. Each label is displayed next to its corresponding contact marker, making it easy to identify electrodes and individual contacts at a glance.

Parcellation overlay

Load any FreeSurfer parcellation (aparc+aseg or custom) and toggle it on/off as a coloured overlay. Regions are labelled from the FreeSurfer colour lookup table.

Contact to region table

A live table maps every visible contact to its anatomical label from the loaded parcellation. The table updates automatically when you switch electrodes or adjust the overlay.

Navigation

Scroll to zoom, drag to pan, Ctrl+drag to rotate around the electrode axis. Double-click anywhere in the slice to reset the view to its default zoom, pan and rotation.

Slice view toolbar

Each oblique slice has its own floating toolbar (bottom-left of the view). Click the expand arrow to reveal the tools:

When the view is too narrow to show all tools at once, scroll the mouse wheel over the toolbar to browse through them.

3D preview toolbar

The small 3D preview panel has its own floating toolbar with camera and export controls:
